Course Expectations

United States History II Mr. Pannullo

Tests/Benchmarks: 

  • At most one test per marking period 
  • One DBQ per marking period 
  • Quizzes, group work, projects 
  • Weekly Do Now grade 

 

Grading System: 

  • 60% will be tests 
  • 35% will be classwork 
  • 5% will be homework 

 

 

Course Material: 

  • The Great Depression/Roaring 20’s 
  • Failures of WWI in both Europe and the United States 
  • Build up to WWII 
  • WWII and the Cold War 
  • Korean and Vietnam Wars 
  • Civil Rights Movement 
  • Space Race and the Red Scare 

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Respect yourself, the teacher & others 

  • Put forth your best effort at all times  

  • Be prepared for class each day 

  • Follow directions when given 

  • Pay attention, participate and ask questions 

  • Preserve a positive learning environment  

  • Take responsibility for your actions 

  • All handbook rules will be enforcedPlease read your handbookStudents that choose to break these rules, choose to have points taken away from their learning readiness grade, and face the possibility of additional consequences. 

  • Turn off cell phones & electronic devices 

  • No food or drink, except water 

  • Arrive to class on time & ready to learn 

  • Never line up at the door before dismissal 

  • Do not cheat, plagiarize, or copy work 

  • Use polite and appropriate language 

  • Do your best work and turn it in on time
